I was gifted with the infamous Baking: From My Home to Yours by Dorie Greenspan for Christmas this year. I had the bright idea that I could bake one recipe from the book every week, dubbed with the oh so clever, Tuesdays with Dorie title. Great idea, right? I mean it will only take like 5 years or something to finish the book.
Now, I knew that I wouldn’t follow through after a while, because, well I am awful with follow through. I asked if anyone was interested in joining me in my Tuesdays with Dorie venture. I was so glad when Michelle of Sugar and Spice and April of Abby Sweets so sweetly said they would join me and keep me in line!
Little did I know, that our tiny group would grow from 3 to 10 within a few short weeks. I had to give TWD her own room to grow. Go check out her space!
If you would like to join us as we bake through Baking, our only prerequisite is that you OWN Baking: From My Home to Yours by Dorie Greenspan. You can email me at tuesdayswithdorie AT gmail DOT com. We would love to have you!

Comment by slush February 15, 2008 @ 11:07 pmLaurie – don’t know how to email you – my range (oven/stove combo) is broken. Can’t bake a thing, so don’t think I’ve forgotten TWD. I’m getting a new stove!
Comment by Madam Chow February 2, 2009 @ 3:59 pmHey Laurie,
Can’t find your emailadress anymore (like Madam Chow), I just wanted to ask if it’s okay to do a rewind for next weeks TWD. I don’t own the thermometer needed for the Devils Food White Out Cake and don’t have enough funds this month to buy one.
Love to hear from you!
